How to set up and use Fitbit Pay
/Do you own a Fitbit? If so, depending on your model you can use their digital payment system to pay for your purchases using your watch without having to pull out your credit card. Here is how you can set this up.
Is my Fitbit supported?
Currently, Fitbit allows you to pay from your smartwatch and tracker on Fitbit Ionic, Versa and Charge. If you’re not sure you can check the back of device and it will say “Fitbit pay” in small writing.
Is my bank supported
This is the most vital step, as you need to ensure that your bank supports Fitbit pay. Currently, Fitbit supports multiple banks across the world and regularly adds new banks to the list. To check, you can click on this URL to see if it is supported. If it’s not there it’s worth checking back every now and then.
Setting up your pin
Now that you have confirmed that your bank is supported, it’s time to set up the pin.
launch the Fitbit app on your smartphone
tap on the upper left profile image to access your account
tap on the Fitbit model > tap on wallet
You will now be able to set up the 4 digit security pin
you can also choose to ask Fitbit to ask for the pin every 24 hours or each time you take off the watch.
Adding your Credit/Debit card
with the pin set up you can now link your credit/debit card.
follow the steps by entering your card information and address
tap on next and agree to Fitbit terms of services to allow you to use Fitbit pay
you can add multiple cards but you will need to manage this if you do so
Making a payment using Fitbit
you can use the Fitbit pay on any credit card terminal that accepts NFC payment solutions
to pay hold the side button until the credit card icon appears or swipe down depending on your model
tap the terminal
once received confirmation (shows as a green tick on your watch) your payment will have been processed.
