What to do if your Apple product breaks while Apple stores are closed
/As a means to help reduce the spread of Coronavirus, Apple has announced that all stores worldwide (expect China) will be closed until at least March 27th. With no Apple stores open, it poses a potential problem should your Apple product break, or if you were having your device repaired before Apple’s announcement. To help address these questions, Apple has released an FAQ on how this will work during this closure period.
Key points from Apple’s FAQ:
If you need to get your device repaired during this period, you can start that process online.
Should your device is being repaired right now you can see the status of that repair here.
If you need to return a product, you’ll have 14 days from when Apple stores reopen. That means if stores don’t open again until May 1st, you’ll have 14 days after that to make it happen.
Online support is still up and running, and if the issue is software related, then a staff member may be able to help you.
