How to Transfer Your Data to your New iPhone
Have you purchased a new iPhone? If so it’s natural to open up the new device and use it straight away. Before you do that though, you will need to get all of your existing apps and data off your old iPhone and onto your new one.
Apple has made this process quite easy using their new feature called iPhone Migration. iPhone Migration seamlessly allows you to move your apps and data to your new iPhone without having to run a backup beforehand. Before starting, make sure that your old iPhone is running the latest iOS version.

Power on the new iPhone. You’ll be asked a couple of initial questions, then will be given to option to transfer data from another iPhone.
Put your old phone near the new one. Ensure both phones are plugged in, so that they don’t run out of power during the transfer.
When the connection is made, your new iPhone screen will display a pattern. Once it appears, hold your old iPhone over the new one, so that the patten is scanned.
If your having difficulties, tap on Authenticate Manually and follow the steps provided by Apple.
Once the scan is complete, you will be prompted to enter your existing passcode into the new iPhone.
Enter your Apple ID when asked. You can then set up Face ID or Touch ID, depending on the phone model.
Your new iPhone will offer the choice of restoring apps, data and settings from your most recent iCloud backup or updating your current device's backup and then restoring. After selecting a backup, you will be asked on transferring existing settings.
If you pick backup from current phone, ensure your connected to wifi.
Once confirmed, the data will begin transferring over. This might take some time depending on the data.
Your new iPhone will advise once it is complete.
Sign in to your new iPhone again and you’re done!
