Facebook Messenger Rooms
/Facebook has launched their new group video chat option, known as “Messenger Rooms”. Facebook will allow you to create a video chat for up to 50 people, including those who don’t have a Facebook account. Messenger rooms also doesn’t have any limits on their call time. This guide will show you how to make a room.
Create Facebook Room on Laptop/PC
Head on over to Facebook
Click on the Rooms option (the video icon with a + sign) or click on “Create”
To add people, click on “who is invited”.
Option 1 “Friends” lets anyone of your Facebook friends see the invite and will allow them to join.
Option 2 “invite specific friends” allows you to individually invite people to the video chat.
Once you’ve set the preferences, you can start the meeting by clicking on “Create your Room”
You’ll get a pop-up window with the option to invite people, share, edit, or end the room. There will also be a link you can send to others to let them join the room. Click “Join” at the bottom to enter your room.

To create a room from your phone, make sure you have the latest version of the Facebook and Messenger apps from the respective store. If you’re not sure, head over to your App Store and tap on update.
Open the Messenger app.
Tap the People tab at the bottom right of the screen.
Tap Create a Room, and select the people who you want to join.
To share a room with people who don't have a Facebook account, you can share the link with them.
